Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PePe Interactive (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with our mobile games published on Google Play (including Tilefall: Roguelike Puzzle, Unscrew It!, Echo of the Aurora, and upcoming titles) as well as the web versions available at pepe-interactive.com.
- No ads and no advertising trackers: We do not display third-party ads and do not include ad networks or tracking SDKs.
- No accounts: You do not need an account, password, or login to play our games.
- Your data stays on your device: Game progress, high scores, and settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Secure purchases: In-app purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment card or bank details.
1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for your data is:
Piotr Sowiak (PePe Interactive)
Łódź, Poland
Contact email: contact@pepe-interactive.com (or kontakt@piotrsowiak.pl)
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Our games save your progress (such as completed floors or levels, unlocked characters, high scores, game settings, and whether the full version has been unlocked) exclusively in your device’s local storage (on Android: application local storage / localStorage; in browser versions: browser localStorage).
This data remains on your physical device. It is never transmitted to us or any remote server. It is deleted automatically when you uninstall the game, clear application storage in Android system settings (Settings → Apps → [Game Name] → Storage → Clear Data), or clear site storage in your web browser.
3. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Some of our games (such as Tilefall: Roguelike Puzzle) offer an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full game or additional content. All purchases are processed directly by Google Play under the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment card details, bank accounts, or financial credentials. Google processes these transactions as an independent controller.
Through the Google Play Developer Console, Google provides us only with non-sensitive transaction metadata necessary to deliver the purchase, handle refund requests, and satisfy accounting and tax obligations under Polish and EU law:
- Google Play Order ID
- Date and time of purchase
- Product identifier (e.g.
tilefall_full_game) - Currency and amount paid
- Buyer’s country or region (required for VAT/tax determination)
Legal basis: Performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and fulfillment of statutory legal obligations, including tax and accounting regulations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Retention: Transaction records in Google Play Console are retained until the expiration of statutory tax and accounting retention requirements under Polish law (typically five years from the end of the calendar year in which tax was due).
4. Android Permissions
Our Android applications request only the minimum technical permissions necessary to operate:
android.permission.INTERNET: Required by the web runtime platform (Capacitor/WebView) and to communicate with the Google Play Billing service for in-app purchases. The game does not use this connection to send telemetry, analytics, or user tracking data.
Our games do not request sensitive permissions, such as Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION), Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Phone State, or the Google Advertising ID (AD_ID).
5. Analytics and Crash Diagnostics
We do not integrate any third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Facebook SDK). We do not profile users or track user activity across apps or websites.
Google Play provides standard, aggregated developer metrics (such as daily installation counts and anonymized crash rate summaries) collected by Google at the operating system level, subject to your Google account settings and Android device preferences.
6. Web Versions
When you play our games in a web browser on pepe-interactive.com or on itch.io:
- On pepe-interactive.com, the site does not use tracking cookies or third-party marketing scripts. The web version of the game saves progress in your browser’s local storage.
- On itch.io, itch.io’s own Privacy Policy applies to their platform hosting.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our games are intended for a general audience (ages 13 and older). We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@pepe-interactive.com so that we can take appropriate steps.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We only rely on trusted service providers necessary for app distribution and hosting:
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited: Distribution of Android applications via Google Play, payment processing via Google Play Billing, and system-level app health diagnostics.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: Hosting and Content Delivery Network (CDN) for pepe-interactive.com under HTTPS encryption.
- itch.io: Distribution platform for optional web versions.
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data.
9. Data Deletion and Retention
Because our games do not use user accounts or cloud storage, your gameplay data exists only on your device. You can erase all game data at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing its storage in Android Settings.
If you have contacted us via email and wish to request the deletion of our email correspondence, please send your request to contact@pepe-interactive.com.
10. Your Rights (GDPR / RODO)
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding any personal data we process:
- Right of access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to data processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO, uodo.gov.pl) or your local EU supervisory authority.
11. Security
We apply the principle of data minimization: we do not collect personal data unless strictly required by law. All website interactions and game deliveries are transmitted over secure HTTPS (TLS) connections.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our games, legal requirements, or Google Play policies. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date at the top.
